I grew up as a Marine Corps brat and then served in the U.S. Coast Guard for a few years. I decided I would give the “real world” a try and became a police officer in 1996. I retired from law enforcement after eighteen years of serving the public. I picked up my first 35mm SLR camera in mid 1990’s and had my first taste as a “wedding photographer.” I will say that weddings are definitely not my thing! I then got into doing mostly wildlife photography and the occasional family session in 2006.
After retirement, I needed to find a means of supplementing my income and decided to go headlong into photography. During this transition, I was taken under the wing of one of Raleigh’s prominant commercial photographers and still continue to work for him quite regularly as photographer and videographer. I have acquired a strong passion for many facets of photography, but I have found that my skills are strongest in real estate, product, and event photography.
